I teach IB Biology at HL and SL, with most of my work focused on topic-by-topic revision, data questions and IA support. I previously worked in a school science department, so I’m used to spotting where students lose marks in explanations rather than content. Cell respiration, genetics and ecology are the areas I teach most often, and I like lessons to be active: diagrams, past paper prompts, then a short written answer.

Hi, I’m an IB Biology tutor and I’m happiest when a student turns up with a half-finished IA, a confusing mark scheme or a stack of notes that need sorting. I took the subject through to university-level biosciences and have tutored IB students for the past few years. I’m quite relaxed in lessons, but I do push for precise wording, especially on command terms like explain, distinguish and evaluate.
